"Hansi Voigt, born in 1963, was born in Germany and grew up in Switzerland. He studied history at Zurich University. Instead of completing his studies, Voigt founded a music label and emigrated to Great Britain for several years. After his return, Voigt began his journalistic career. In the weekly business newspaper ""CASH"", Voigt was promoted to interim editor-in-chief and in ""Beobachter"" he won the renowned Zurich Journalist Prize for a report on the subject of ""poverty"". A little later, when he was hired 20 Minuten Online as news editor at the free portal, the majority of his renowned journalist colleagues declared him crazy. But under his leadership, 20min.ch became Switzerland's largest news portal in 2008. In 2013 Voigt founded Fixxpunkt AG, from which the news platform watson.ch emerged, which later also opened a branch in Germany as a licensed product watson.de.
